Terms & Conditions

By booking a tour with Sakwa Tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sakwa Tours.

A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the tour departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. All prices are quoted in USD and are subject to change until a deposit is received.

The following cancellation charges apply: • 60+ days before departure: Loss of deposit only • 30–59 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost • 15–29 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost • Less than 15 days: 100% of total tour cost (no refund) Cancellations must be made in writing via email to sakwasrilanka@gmail.com. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice.

We will make every effort to accommodate changes to your booking, subject to availability. Amendments requested 30+ days before departure may be possible without charge. Changes requested within 30 days may be subject to additional fees. We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, safety concerns, or force majeure.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all tours and mandatory for adventure tours (white water rafting, rock climbing, etc.). Your insurance should cover medical expenses, personal accident, trip cancellation, and loss of luggage. Sakwa Tours is not liable for any losses, medical expenses, or other costs that adequate travel insurance would cover.

Sakwa Tours acts as an agent for hotels, transport companies, and other service providers. Our liability is limited to the value of your tour cost. We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience caused by third parties or circumstances beyond our control. All activities are undertaken at your own risk.

As a traveller, you are responsible for: • Holding a valid passport and any required visas • Obtaining necessary vaccinations and health precautions • Arriving at meeting points on time • Behaving in accordance with local laws and customs • Respecting other travellers, guides, and local communities • Disclosing any medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate

Some tours involve physical activity. By booking, you confirm that you are in good health and physically capable of participating. Please inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or special needs at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Sakwa Tours is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government actions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will endeavour to offer alternative arrangements or credit vouchers.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
